December 27, 2025

So the end of 2025 has come for the club. Talking with some of the parents of Sprockets, it seems it has come around very quickly, which it has. The start of the season saw the start of training delayed due to the weather and several club days rained off. Even our Open Day was not immune with showers and a bitter wind. A decision was made to cut the day short.

The end the year was another matter with a good turnout of club members for a bit of fun and some pizza. The idea was to decorate ones bike and dress up, Jackson went all out, dressing up as an elf, the question is who he reported back to Santa as having been naughty of nice.

Joseph organised a variety of races, including a handicap reverse race that saw a full gate of 9 line up at the Admin Container for the start. Later on a gates series was run where riders went up or down a group depending on where they came in the previous race. To make things a bit fairer, Joseph threw in some curve balls for oue faster riders, including only being allowed to pedal on the ramp and having to pump the rest of the way.

By then everyone had worked up a health appertiate, and the pizzas arrived.

All the pizzas were quickly polished off given the riding done earlier. There was still some energy left though to have a go with the manual trainer that was bought down by one of the parents. This provided a lot of discussion of technique but also provided for some laughter at attempts to manual on the trainer.
